In this chapter, you'll learn what it’s like to be a doctor. And the first thing all doctors do? Measure and track of your vitals! That means things like your blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature. So, whenever these signs seem abnormal, they can use this information to investigate why. We’ll be doing a deep-dive into the cardiovascular system—since so many of our vital signs are related to the heart! This includes fun hands-on activities that show how blood moves!

Students will explore the wonders of the human skeletal and muscular systems, understanding how bones and muscles work together to support movement and protect vital organs. You'll even get a chance to build your own mechanical hand. Finally, you'll learn how doctors gather information from patients. Using the provided patient chart, you'll be filling one out just like a doctor! 

Students will explore the digestive system, understand how our body processes food, so we get the energy and nutrients to sustain ourselves. We’ll also learn how to doctors approach patient issues and how they might diagnose issues with a fun activity.
